Transport and
Safe Active Travel for all
The Green party in government has really delivered on Public Transport - we have seen a huge increase in active travel infrastructure in Ireland and the first cuts in fares for 75 years.
In the recent budget we extended free public transport to under nines- saving families’ money and reducing emissions by encouraging the use of public transport and for the over seventies - a new universal companion pass is now available enabling them to bring a loved one or friend on public transport free of charge.

We are fixing the bottleneck in the alley at Blackrock Park with the Council purchase of this land and converting it into a wide route for walking and cycling. We continue to work on other bottlenecks on the coastal mobility route.
We have delivered on safer active travel routes to schools, and provided funding to schools to join the network.
Our communities now have a better and more frequent bus service including the L25 and S8.
There are new cycle routes under development connecting main roads between Dún Laoghaire, Glenageary and Kill Of the Grange.
We are rolling out a new Active travel network connecting villages between Dún Laoghaire and Dundrum.
I look forward to continuing this work on behalf of our community.
If elected I will work to speed up contactless payments on buses, trains and the LUAS.
If elected I will work to address the slow speed of lift repairs in the DART stations.
If elected I will fight for a Cargo bike loan scheme for families.
